§ 6-1. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Alcoholic liquor and license shall be as defined in Act No. 8 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1933, Extra Session (MCL 436.1 et seq., MSA 18.971 et seq.), as amended.

    Stand alone license means any liquor license issued by the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission, which may exist and be used on its own (to serve liquor by the glass) and need not be combined with any other type of liquor license.

    Non-stand alone license means any liquor license issued by the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission which may not be used (to serve liquor by the glass) unless combined with a stand alone liquor license.
